Sound Writing - Dhara

If sound existence wasn’t in this world, the world would be dull and not fun. There would no music to dance or move to There wouldn't be singing, and worse, people would not be able to communicate with each other or understand.

How is sound made? Well sound can be made out of a lot of cool things like instruments. You can also make sound by singing and a lot more. Not only people like us can make sound animals, equipment and creatures also insects can make sound too. Like banging to bans together or using spoons as drumsticks and a pot for the drum.

When a hammer hits something, it sends out sound waves which vibrates the aiir molecules. These molecules go to your brains through the ear where the sound waves are converted to electrical signals

What makes sound different? When animals such as bats, marine mammals and some kinds of birds uses a high or a low pitched sound it sends a message to try and finds its prey. They don’t all have the same pitched sound it is different. Because if you use a high pitched sound the frequency vibrates more than a per second but if they use a low pitched sound the frequency vibrates less than a per second.

If our world did not have any sound then it would be very hard to communicate with people and it can also destroy peoples amazing dreams. It would also be boring and embarrassing for people who dreams do not come true. Not only for people for animals and creatures as well.

Echolocation

Who uses echolocation? Bats, Dolphins, Whales, Shrews, some kinds of birds and marine mammals use echolocation. These kinds of animals use echolocation to navigate their way around their environment and to try to locate their prey. When they are trying to find their prey they use a high pitched sound, when the sound ricochets back  like an echo. It tells him that he has finally found his food.

Not all marine mammals use echolocation but my favourite marine mammal which uses echolocation is the dolphins and this is how they use it. Dolphins send out a sound wave and waits for it, when the vibration comes back, it tells the dolphin where is the object and how big is it then the dolphin will search where the object is and rather eat it or ignore it.

Bats use echolocation the same way as dolphins. Most bats rely on their echolocation to find their food. Bats use echolocation by making an echo of its own and wait until it returns back. But if it is searching for it pray it goes something like this. when bats are hungry they make an echo that’s so strengthened and high pitched, that it can tell that the object it bigger or smaller if the a bat makes a echo and when it comes backs softer or louder the object is scrabbling away.

Immersion Assembly

Today on the first day of term 2 we had an immersion assembly, so just to let you know about what we do at a start of a new term, we have topic that we work on until that term has ended and then do another the next term. So this term our topic is about sounds, but the term was not just all about sounds the was my teams subject, we had team named Team 1,Team 2, Team 3, Team 4,Team 5.

Team 1,Team 2,Team 4 and Team 5 all had items to share what they were going to learn about this term as we entered the hall the was filled with helium balloons so we sat in our seats and looked around teacher were dressed up,Then Mr Burt came in with funky clothes on. So to start us off we had team 1's item, their item was about how they were going to the zoo tomorrow and learn about the animals living there.

which was awesome next up after Team 1 was Team 2, Team 2 were learning about arrow planes and how it fly's activates in the sky. The team 2 teachers were doing a dance to the song in the movie it was funny to watch. Next up team 3 ,When the teachers walked on the stage their clothes were kind of the same its some of them were wear tutu's  and different tops and the rest were just wearing dresses, I could see Mrs Walters wearing something else than pink all the time when he had a beginning of the term, it was very interesting too about rainbows. One thing that I learned from team 4 that if colour go towards the white they will bounce off.

Team 4 was asking questions and about things that float and the things that don't float in their presentation then they got out four or five chocolate fish and said if you get one their question  right you get a chocolate fish. To finish of the assembly team 5'    s music video played.

My favourite item was team 5s music videos because it was funny, interesting and it felt like I was watching a movie.
